Otis Elevator Company against plaintiff, a former employee, who brought suit in federal court alleging that the company discharged him in violation of both federal and state disability acts, age discrimination statutes and in retaliation for filing a workers compensation claim. Salesman and hardware company against a national hardware distributor who claimed that the salesman, a former employee, had violated a covenant not to compete and confidentiality agreement by working for a local competitor. Fishing guide and non-profit conservation organization against an Alaska tour operator with claims alleging that the fishing guide, a former employee of the plaintiff, violated a covenant not to compete and confidentiality agreement by becoming the marketing director for a non-profit conservation organization that sponsors scientific expeditions in Siberia. Plaintiff also sued the non-profit organization, alleging tortious interference, conversion and misappropriation of trade secrets. Pending. Sarp v. Client who was running for Sheriff and engaged in a political debate broadcast by radio. In a response to a question asked by the deputy sheriff, our client made statements reflecting negatively on the questioner's work performance and disciplinary history.
