Sean Hornbrook’s practice focuses on complex personal injury, insurance extra-contractual claims, and disputes involving a variety of real estate issues. Sean is licensed to practice in the state and federal courts of Washington. He has tried a number of jury cases, including on behalf of defendants concerning the Insurance Fair Conduct Act (IFCA) and the Washington Consumer Protection Act (CPA).
Summary judgment dismissal of wrongful death case arising from Negligent Infliction of Emotional Distress (NIED), upheld on appeal. Ko v. Seaview Chevrolet and Ticen Varney, et al., 2010 WL 2827136 (Wash. App. July 19, 2010).
Defense verdict in King County Superior Court, with jury awarding Plaintiff no damages where client had admitted liability for the accident.
Directed verdict in favor of insurance carrier following King County Superior Court jury trial in suit alleging carrier’s violation of the Washington Insurance Fair Conduct Act.
Obtained a defense verdict in Clark County District Court jury trial for a defendant who was the disfavored driver turning left within an intersection and Plaintiff had the right-of-way.
